1.1 All areas of the premises must be kept clean and tidy at all times.
1.2 Stairs and gangways must be kept clear of obstructions at all times. This applies particularly to display and notice boards which must always be placed in such a position as to cause no obstruction.
1.3 Equipment and material must be safely housed.
1.4 Coventry Central Hall is a "no smoking" building.
1.5 Eating and drinking is not allowed anywhere in the building, other than in Wesley's restaurant or in rooms where a buffet is being provided, without the prior permission of the Management.
1.6 Alcohol or other intoxicants must not be brought onto the premises other than strictly in accordance with the Central Hall management’s Alcohol Policy. Persons under the influence of intoxicants will be removed immediately from the premises.
1.7 Gambling, touting and betting is not allowed on the premises.
1.8 Pets or other animals, except guide dogs, are not allowed on the premises.
1.9 During open hours, Wesley's restaurant must not be used as a meeting or congregating area. The chairs and tables are for use only by Wesley's customers.
2. SAFETY AND SECURITY GENERALLY
2.1 The Health & Safety Enforcement Officer is responsible for the effective implementation of security measures.
2.2 Hirers must not enter any areas other than those in which they are conducting their business. They shall, as far as is practicable, ensure that the public attending their events also comply with this condition.
2.3 All users of the premises must be familiar with all health and safety legislation and these rules. They must understand and observe safety signs.
2.4 All equipment brought onto the premises must be in a safe working condition.
2.5 If, for whatever reason, evacuation of the premises takes place then the person in charge of each organisation, sale, meeting or the like shall report to the Health & Safety Enforcement officer at the designated Assembly Point, identified on the Fire Action signs, to confirm that all their staff have been safely evacuated.
2.6 Under no circumstances must the capacity of rooms be exceeded.
2.7 First aid help can be obtained at the office on the first floor or in the restaurant. First aid posts are indicated by a white cross on a green background.
2.8 All accidents, injuries and damage must be reported to the Health & Safety Enforcement Officer, who will fill in an accident report form. Depending on the severity of the accident or injury, this Officer will be responsible for reporting the incident to the Local Council's Department of Environmental Health.
2.9 The management accepts no liability for any accident to any member of the public or anyone connected with the letting, or for the loss of or damage to any goods or property brought onto the premises.
3.1 If the hirer's activities involve working with children and young people under the age of 18 then the hirer confirms, by entering into the hire agreement, that the Code of Practice "Safe from Harm" published by the Home Office will be implemented.
The management, or its authorised representative, reserves the right to escort off the premises and subsequently refuse re-admission to anyone who does not comply with these Rules.
